- More than 50% of the kids we serve qualify as "low-income" (household income less than 150% of the federal poverty level).
- Most supplemental reading programs cost between $100-$400 per week, sometimes more.
- As a non-profit, we provide help at NO charge or a significantly reduced rate.

We use a proven supplemental reading program called EasyRead. EasyRead...
- Brings back joy to learning by improving reading and spelling for K to 12th graders who struggle to read.
- Utilizes 15-minute sessions, 4x per week to target encoding (spelling) and decoding (reading) skills to improve reading accuracy, speed and fluency.
- Is an effective and research-based program.
- Implemented, through Help Kids Read A to Z, in afterschool programs to meet kids where they already are (no driving or extra homework for parents).

Evidence-Based Instruction
Using the EasyRead program, Help Kids Read A to Z's goal is to achieve a strong, confident base for every child’s reading and spelling.
We provide afterschool time reading intervention to support the efforts of our wonderful teachers and parents that individualized to ensure that each child becomes a proficient reader!
Individual Support for Each Child
Weekly, each child gets:
- Four fun 15-minute structured online lessons using EasyRead's innovative and proven visual (trainer text) approach.
- All lessons provided by a live, certified EasyRead tutor using our adaptive software to individualize each child's lessons and facilitate progress.
Monthly:
- Progress reports home to share each child's reading gains.
- Fun prizes and certificates are awarded to celebrate each child's reading success
